Age Concern Barnet Reminiscence groups

Age Concern Barnet recently ran a very successful Reminiscence Group at the Ann Owens Centre and is training more volunteers to lead groups at both day centres and in the wider community over the coming year.

To do this we need your help to set up a library of everyday items (or their packaging) from any time between 1900 and 1980. Items should be portable, of minimal value and able to stimulate forgotten memories about topics such as childhood, work, home, education, leisure and major events.

If you have something which you can donate on a temporary or permanent basis or if you require information about the project please contact Sian Jones on 020 8432 1416 or by email at sian-finchley.acb@btconnect.com.

Alternatively you can label your item “Age Concern Barnet Reminiscence Project” and leave it at either of our day centres with your name, contact details and how long we can borrow the item.
